
The delegation to Durban includes the representatives of the mayor’s office and business community. Moreover, the representative of the Russian Embassy in South Africa took part in the reception at Durban City Hall.
The initiative of establishing cooperation between the cities was declared by Mayor Anatoliya Lokot during his visit to Novosibirsk State University of Economics and Management in February 2015.
— Cooperation with South Africa is a promising destination of the international interaction against the background of strengthening orientation of our country to the BRICS association, commented Vice-Chancellor on Strategic Development and External Affairs Pavel Novgorodov. — The choice of Durban has not been random one since the city has a similar economic structure to our city. It is also a transport and logistics hub and has a superb scientific and educational potential.
It is worth mentioning that there are two our partner universities in South Africa: MANCOSA and Regent Business School. Since 2003 MANCOSA and NSUEM have been implementing the joint MBA projects.
It has been planned to participate in a conference dedicated to cooperation between Russia and South Africa launching the BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration) program for NSUEM students.
